Bros, I am going Hsinchu in Taiwan next week for training. I did a search for happening places there, but did not find any. Can any well travelled brother recommend some happening places for cheonging?

just ask any taxi driver to take you to a massage or 1 on 1 ktv place. there are a few place in downtown but i dont know of any cheap places (under US 100). if you are interested there are hostess or strip clubs in taichung. you should drop by and check them out.

Hsinchu is a boring place la, there is no real happening place there.
There is alot of those "Hair Saloon" with red latern around 名生路.

KTV there is no cheap, watch out for the cost. Better off go down to Taipei, Tai chung is more happening but is damn far, unless you have alot of time, not advisable to rush there and rush back.

Thanks... I suspected that it would be boring...
Unlikely I can go to Taipei... My work schedule is very tight... so travelling to Taipei and back will be waste of time...

KTV for satu orang is no fun and expensive.

Looks like it will only be pubs... which I understand is also limited... is there a bar street in Hsinchu.

Hsin Chu is boring place. There is a pub call "Pig and whistle" near to the "Sin Kuang San Yue" and another one is call "Zu woi" near to the Sing Jyao.

I believe most of the bros went there are from the same industry.

I was in Hsinchu few weeks ago, and it's true that there's not much fun there, even when the locals cheong, they will take a 1 hr drive to Taoyuan, where you'll find a lot of KTV clubs. Try NEW YORK KTV club, nice place but a bit expensive.

I went to that Pig n Whistle pub, place is kinda run down, fun factor = so so... But that's about the best what they have in Hsinchu

If you take one hours to taoyuan, might as well go taipei, mor fun.
Anyway, cheonging in taiwan is not cheap. Save the money and have fun back home or take a flight to BKK

Just went to the Pig and Whistle place last night... It is very dead... maybe it is monday night... haha

I think I should save my money for BKK or even China...

Was also in Taipei for a week in another earlier trip, tried the nite spots there, but also no big deal comparing to China and Jkt (I never really like BBK cos cannot speak Thai).
And yes, better to save your money, energy and time for the better playgrounds.

Yeah, I live there for couple of years, death boring, I wish it's like BKK, China or JKT. Then I will stay there instead of coming back

The Pig and Whistle is no more any recommendations for another joint ? There is a massage joint around the corner from where the P&W used to be can't miss it. about NTD3K for full service. Nothing special but the only place with any action I know, any other advice for this place
