Re: Cambodia Phnom Penh Nightlife Discussion

For those who want cheap rooms , can stay this hotel in st136. Usd15 a night with 2 bed, aircon and fan.

Only no tv, no fridge, no phone, no breakfast, no soap, no toothbrush. But got aircon and ceiling fan, prime location in st 136. R÷om clean. Usd15, so i share with my friend one person usd7.50. We love it, can stay tis hotel 10 days and laze around, 10 days only sg100 each person.

Very convenient location but no safe box in room.
Toilet clean with toilet paper and towel of course.

For those who want to stay near Nagaworld, my friend recommend me to stay Long Live Hotel, walking distance to nagaworld. Price around sg$33, rooms quite big.

Good recommendations bro sohbuckkong!

Usually you use Riel or USD in your payments such as hotel, restaurant, transport, WL, etc.
Local currency more favourable or not much difference?

Can you pay in dollars in Cambodia?

No worries about changing money Ś the US dollar is Cambodia's unofficial second currency. The official currency in Cambodia, the Cambodian riel, trades at around 4,000 riel to the US dollar. ... Unlike in many countries, if you pay in US dollars the exchange rate you will get is quite fair. Jan 9, 2018

What currency is best to use in Cambodia?

The Cambodian currency is the Riel but US dollars are widely accepted and exchanged. This is in no way `black market┤ or unofficial; the Cambodia Tourist Visa payment must be made in US dollars and cannot be settled in Riel. Thai Baht are accepted at border crossings with Thailand.

I always use USD for everything in cambodia from hotel , paying tuktuk to paying wLs. In cambodia we usually take it as usd1 = 4000 riels.

Of course from money changers, we get slightly more then 4000 riels to usd1. But i think most people dont bother to change usd to riels. In cambodia we must hv small change as those tuktuks etc wilĺ always say they got no small change.

In cambodia everything must bargain just like singapore 45 yrs ago. My friend just bought a bag at usd16, bargain down fm usd25. One yr ago, fm pp airport to sihanok i took a cab usd60, bargain down fm usd120. I know it shld be usd 50, but nvm let him earn. In fact taximan get only usd40.

Cheers to yr cheong in asia and those cowboy towns.

Bro sohbuckkong thanks for your tips.

You are one of the very few bros here who provide info on value cheonging and make it a point to keep the market price sustainable. Thumbs up for that! I respect people like you as we have the same motto.

Please continue your good work as I enjoy reading your posts.

PS:Talking about cowboy towns recently I went to Mexico cowboy town. Street SYT FL from US$20 for ST.

Fantastic, i guarantee u one of these days i sure go mexico cowboy town to book syt at us20. Its fun, nevermind far and airfare a little bit expensive. For me its partially holiday, gamble and cheap cheong.

About 6-7yrs ago, in zhuhai in a town about 15mins away by cab, theres a place call zhu-huay, looks like cowboy town, the wls ssyt (all look like 15yr old and pretty) damn cheap, only 130rmb for st, i did post in zhuhai thread. My friend was there few mths ago, he say still have some but scattered.

Actually when i go casinos, my intention is to play for draw and get d free room. And its not v difficult to play for a draw. Usually casinos give free makan too. Honestly nobody can win any casinos, zero. I have so many casino friends, i know almost everybody fm longjie, not even one win, all lose. For about 2yrs, everyday i go longjie and gamble, i lost including everybody that i know.

Gambling is not pure luck, it is bounded by the universal laws of mathematics. The law governs the law of average and probabilities. And quantum physics is another mystery that made probability so mysterious for eg if we throw a coin, which side it going to land ´s unknown and yet collectively we know d eventual outcome after many throws, i.e. almost 50% will be head and almost 50% will be tail. Theres no way at all that the outcome will be 60%/40% or vice versa or any other value far away fm 50-50

Dont read those that i post in coffeeshop talk, i was just kidding with them, just teasing them. Alot of crackos post in those religious topics, some are obsessed.
