Hi all samsters, recently i've come across some other online sex forums on "how lucky if ur penis have extra skin" etc. stuffs and ii like to seek some advice frm experts here on;

Penis with long foreskin will give u 'extra protection' against STDs/HIVs/AIDS ?

Is like ur penis erected & the skin covered the whole of ur penis n d penis head still have some extra skin after erection. If + wearing condom, will this give it an extra protection? Like defense-in-depth kind of concept.

I knw that some pple will cut the skin off when thy r young for hygience purpose. So is this irony or just some non-proven fact?
Pls help to advice or give some comments

The foreskin INCREASES the risk of HIV.

Circumcision, on the other hand, reduces the risk by 60%.

Yes, foreskin increases the likelihood of getting HIV.
Small cuts and sores that can exist on the foreskin, caused by the friction of sex, increases the 'opportunity' to catch HIV.
Circumcision, remove the foreskin, also remove some of this 'potential' to get HIV.
But this does not mean a circumsized dick will not catch HIV.

The foreskin is more susceptible to infection by HIV than the glans that it covers.

This is because the inner surface of the foreskin contains Langerhans' cells with HIV receptors. These cells are likely to be the primary point of viral entry into the penis of an uncircumcised man.

By removing the foreskin, entry routes for HIV are reduced making transmission less likely.

However, as is always the case, there is an alternative school of thought that believes that same cells provide PROTECTION from HIV. However, that does not change the statistics which show that transmission rates for HIV are lower in circumcised communities.

The bottom line does not change either. CONDOMS should be used for all acts of casual or commercial intercourse as nothing beats rubber when it comes to preventing infection.

Actually virus can also transmit thru the hole at the tip of our penis. So circumcised does not means better. Condom is still better
