Was in Jakarta recently. Wanted outcall to my hotel so used Michat. Michat is a hit an miss. Had a few great ones and one scam.

My observations
1. Those contacts with Chinese looking photos are most likely scams and are almost 100% different from the photos. The accounts are usually run by OKTs or likely to be a scam. The first girl was not too bad, although looked nothing like the photos and told me that the person I was communicating with was the OKT. The second one was a scam which I will elaborate for everyone's benefit.

2. Those with Indonesian (tanner skin) looking photos are likely to be be legit, ie actual contacts of the girls. But expect at least 50% discount from the photos. These tend to be more fun if you are ok with the 50% photo discount.

Lesson learnt on the scam. Contact (Ling Ling) had Chinese looking looking photos. They will ask for a video of your room and card access (red flag 1). They will ask for your whatsapp contact *red flag 2). When the girl arrived, she kept her mask on all the time (red flag 4). Which I found strange. She will then ask for the payment upfront (? red flag) and also additional transport. Not so unusual, as some girls do ask for payment upfront. Then she asked me to go down to buy CD as she did not have, kept asking me to go down (super red flag). All the other girls brought CDs. There was no way in hell I was going to leave her in the room alone and she kept messaging on her phone and voice calling my hotel location. In the end, I had to kick her out of the room before there was more trouble. OF course, she refused to return me my money. But i figured, better than more trouble.

I suspect, she probably planned to steal stuff from my room while I was gone or had backup nearby.

So in future, I will probably avoid accounts with Chinese looking girls and check if the girl has CD before making any payment. As least you can ask the girl to go out of the room while you go and buy. Also, do not give your whatsapp contact until after the deed. All the other girls did not insist that I give my Whatsapp number.

Hope this prevents others form being scammed.

I never bothered with michat because of all the stories I heard like yours. It's really a huge gamble if you are getting scammed or not. Not worth it if you just want to have good time.

If you know when you want to call a girl over ahead of time, it becomes much simpler because there are various trusted sources you can choose a number of girls from. The caveat is you can't book early or too late to the date, which makes it tricky. Still I rather get someone not of my type from there than michat.
