Hope to be able to get some help from here.

My wife and i have been marry for 4 yrs coming to 5. but we almost like everyday quarrel for the past 3 yrs which has make it a point tat sometime i do not even want to come hm. i really hoping to get a divorce as i dun want one day we might end up doing something to hurt each other or become enemy because we still have a 4yrs old son with us.

Recently i talk to her i might want to get a divorce but she say no and tell me if there's any problem we can talk it out and solve the issue but likewise i tell her this is not the first time that we come to the topic of divorce so i really dun wish to hold on anymore.

can bros out there advise if i want to get the divorce do i have to wait till the 5yrs is up first or can i do something now since it will be like another 10 month before it will actually reaqch the 5yrs mark. also hw abt the kid if i'm willing to give up then anyother issue wif it.

plus we do not have any property coz living wif parents but i got a slight problem with the maintainece fee coz real now i still got abt a debt of 10k plus owning to bank so if will to give the maintainece fees then will all tis b taken into consideration?

bro i dun know what are the problems in your marriage...but all i can say is reconsider this move..if you feel that things are really coming to a head then suggest you talk to your oc about a short separation just to let things cool down...your kid is only 4..dun listen to those crap that they still young won't know anything...they do..

i still remember my ex-oc parting words to me..."you never know what you got till you lost it"...and yes today i really regretted it...when i look at my daughter who is now 14...for nearly 10 years she grew up without a father...i feel sad becos my daughter has grown to be a recluse and withdrawn...

btw what is this 5 years thing about divorce.....has the law been changed that you required to be married for 5 years before divorce proceedings can be allowed?

bro frankistien thks for ur advise i koe where u r coming from cause if is not because of my son i would not have wait until so long before i got tis thinking in mind. Everyone's problem if u ask me to explain i also find it hard to tell ppl just tat when it happen u will koe wat it is only. no matter wat descision i'm going to make really appreciate the golden words i will think again.

this 5 yrs thing is heard from fren they ,ention to me must at least be marry for 5 yrs b4 u can apply for anything wor?

Bro i just got clarification from one of the bro who is a lawyer that it is 3 years before you can start divorce proceeding.

Please reconsider divorce, that is the last thing you should be thinking of

You MUST reconsider your wife proposal. Sit down and talk. The ONLY way out is COMMUNICATION. Tell her your problem with her, on WHY you can't take it any longer. (i assume its her nagging?) Also ask about HER problem with you.

Is there such a thing as joint care and control? my lawyer told me that she had only succeeded in 1 case before and it took 2 years. the singapore courts dislike any unusual arrangement according to my lawyer. I am hoping to get 3 out of 7 days of care and control as my wife refuses to give me full cnc. any advice appreciated. thanks

Yes...... but this arrangement is very lecheh and everyone involved would rather not have this type of arrangement.

One of you will have custody of the child but she/he has to get the approval of the other party on decisions involving the child. If both of you are always the cannot agree type........ everyone involved will become very busy making several trips back to the family court frequently........ that is why nobody wants this type of arrangement.

2 pages back, i read that one of the bro ask if the pictures of holding hands, kissing etc. can be held as evidence in court or not, i have to say only the "FLIM", yes, the black colour thingy can only be used as evidence. other than that no other kinds of pictures can be used.

this one was told by one of my friend who went divorced.

anyway, sorry abit oot, I wish to find out if any lawyer over here could provide service like writing business plan / proposal to investor. if so please kindly pm me. thanks.

Not true. All evidence so long as material to the case can be produced. It must be credible and backed up by explanation of how it was obtained.

Need ur advice, i marry at 2000 .. 2002 marriage broke down.. Wife apply ppo against me.. after that she moved back to her mom house... i never contact her since then.. cos of PPO
Now 2009 .. its been 6 -7 yrs .. i need to divorce her.. but she has a kid but its not mine... we owe a flat..i paid the HDB maintence solely..

Any good lawyer to recomend cos want to get it done & over...

seperated for 3 years already. wanting file divorce based on 3 years seperation and hope to clear it asap peacefully but the other party too demanding and wanted me left with nothing...

my proposal
1) divorce base on 3 years seperation
2) sell the flat and everything 50%-50% (i pay everything in the 1st few years)
3) everything in the flat she can take
4) money in FD, 50%-50%. whatever interest she take
5) $2000+ settle everything. No fighting out in court

her demand
1) divorce base on my adultery 3.5 years ago
2) she want the flat and i should GIVE her
3) she want everything
4) she want all the money. saying that it is her money as she fork out the money for our honeymoon when we 1st get married. Also to back pay her in maintenance.
5) See me in court and I should bare all the cost for fighting out in court.

already let her stay in the flat peacefully while i moved out 3 years ago
already pay her maintenace and back pay some utility bills she use. (issued during maintenance court hearing)

this women difficult to handle...
