Hmm...i dont recommend (cos i never stay there before),but i do remember bro SBY did mention about a Hotel 01 around Batam center that is still considerably new (about a year old or so by now) And i think if you are there and with no intention of bringing girl/s to your room,this place's appearance should look pretty neat.

(most Batam girls are Muslim,hence most do not like the look of idols all over the hotel)

It should cost you around S$36 to S$42 (tax included via booking.com) depending on room type. And well,there are Wifi too,hehehe...its an obviously an Egyptian theme hotel. Please remember to read the other reviews of this hotel before you make the booking too,becos according to it,there are some that says good,there are some that says not-so-good.

I did saw this unique hotel when I was on the taxi towards NED last trip.
But the location makes it very inconvenient since all the action is in NED.
I dont think there are many places to wander around if stay in this hotel.

Finished work at 8.20pm, rushed to Harbourfront Center to catch the last Sindo ferry to Sekupang at 9.30pm. Reached 9.13pm at the counter was told by the counter girl already close the gate, i managed to convince her that i can make it to the gate as i had already made a booking and there is still 2 mins left before the gate close. Run to the gate and sitted comfortably in the ferry by 9.20pm..

Reached Batam at 9.10pm Indon time, took an ojek for 40k to Nagoya. Had a quick dinner and rested awhile before joining my (4) friends at Billiard Center (KTV) at 10.30 pm from my apartment at Goodway Hotel area via ojek for 10k.

We booked a medium room with a Pool Table of min charge 3 Juta/Millions. After the usual routine of KTV scene (5 of us took a girl each), we asked for bill at around 2am.

2+1 Hennessy = 4 Juta (Per bottle 2Juta)
Mixer + !@#$%^ = 1 Juta+
Tax = 1 Juta+
4 Girls Sitting Fees = 1.2 Juta (Per girl 300k)
1 Girl Booking Fee (LT) = 1.6 Juta (Sitting Fee Waived)

Total = 9 Juta +

Conclusion..

Out of 5 girls: 2 are crazy type (Wild)
Out of 5 girls: 2 available booking LT

Just back from a 4D3N relax escape sex tour from batam after a long period never go there liow...

This trip I have tried many first time experience including:

1) Buying Kaha hotel voucher for Formosa for 2 nights. Must really thanks bro Nono for his unselfish sharing of info on save money tips.

I am not a frequent batam cheongster only go 2-3 times a year but believe in future will frequent there more often as beside good food and cewek, batam offer lots of massage options for us.

For the past few years have been walking in direct and was paying like S$62-S$65. But this time I was only paying 475000rp = S$48. Save me S$17 per night which is consider as value for money stay.

Last time in order to save cost I chose to stay at lailai mutiara at 230k = $25per night instead of $65 in Formosa.(according to one year ago exchange rate) That was a significant $40 difference

But rite now lailai has recently up their price to 260k=$27 as they are building a lift at the lobby rite now and also have refurbish part of the room like the cabinet and main door. Buying hotel voucher at KAHA for Formosa cost $48. So the difference between the 2 hotels room rate has reduced greatly to $21.

Therefore it is more value for money to stay in Formosa as the $21 difference, you get to enjoy better breakfast, more spacious room, carpet which is cosy, bathtub where you can mandi susu, and many other advantage like its prime location, etc.

2) First time I took metro van from DC mall and alight at pacific hotel at 3000rp=30cents. great travelling experience as I just wanted to experience myself one time not as a tourist but as a local penduduk adapting myself to the lifestyle of the local people.

3) This is also the only trip I did not take a cab. I walk from harbour bay to kaha, lailai, formosa, DC mall, Windsor, etc. I walk to survey many booking joints to hunt for an idea girl starting from goldbird then to orchid. After that cross the road to new berry near hana hotel then walk down further to indah indah near bali hotel. From there proceed to cut across citywalk then to centrepoint before walking down to permata indah near windsor foodcourt where I finally book my girl there.

4) First time I tried the tahu goreng 2500rp = 25 cents fresh and delicious sold by the roadside seller which is way much cheaper than the tahu goring sold in spore at $3.50 which is 14 times more expensive. The street vendor is a malay uncle display his warung push cart near to hotel bali.

5) First time I tried the Ikan tawah (rabbit fish) but have a strong raw fish smell although it is cooked which is not to my liking. Nearly vomited after eating it. Still prefer the ikan bakar pari ( bbq stingray).

6) First time watch movie in batam at nagoya hill. mission impossible 5. Funny thing is the cinema ticket cost 25k cheap but the pop corn cost 35k which is more expensive.

Booking joints
During this trip also noted that New Berlian, Queen 8933 and Dynasty 99 the Singaporean favourite joints has closed for good. Those were the good old days when these joints exist convenient for the ah hia and the ah pek to book their cewek and bring back hotel. Previously berry indah was also close proximity to the area.

Now the nearest joint where you want to book your cewek if you are staying in Formosa will be happy massage 8 behind centrepoint near hotel prima asia.

But after being so many joints this trip, the most and best selection of cewek will be none other than permata indah follow by burung emas.

Permata Indah KTV have 30 plus booking girls and mostly are pretty syt, milf a little. Price ranging from 1.2juta, 1 juta and 800k. The 1.2 juta girls are confirmed very cute and nice looking but the character and service wise are not guarantee to be all good.

I book a 20 years old cute syt look Javanese cewek machiam 18 years old nia. Basket whole day play handphone never give enough attention and smoke kretek gudang garam (Indonesia unique clove cigarette) one after another until the whole room damn smelly. Told her not to smoke inside room but she heck care and continue to do so. Service wise okay but just cannot tahan the smell. The only time i see a large amount of tourist was around Ex Vietnam Camp at Pulau Galang. That was the only time we drive by at least dozens of tour buses and surprisingly when i visit a temple nearby where another half a dozen buses was parked outside,i was the only Chinese. Hehehe...i know i am the only Chinese becos i am the only person who light a joss stick and pray there.

I think those tourist looks like Indonesians from other provinces.
