Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Sad to see MU played like that! Think no chance against their noisy neighbor! Pool would have to accept to be the runner up again!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Man U has to have a reaction to this crushing defeat. Otherwise their noisy neighbours are going to thrash them at their own stadium. It will be very hard for a Man U fan living in Manchester to escape all the bantering from their Man City supporting family, friends and colleagues.

Interestingly, Brendan Rodgers's Leicester will meet Man City on the 7th of May. The last time round, Man City denied him a premier league title. Perhaps it will be the revenge of Brendan Rodgers. Just park the bus Brendan and let speedy Jamie Vardy play on the counter attack.

Regardless of the result this season, I think Man City and Liverpool will dominate the EPL for the next few seasons. Arsenal just lost again. Man U too. Spurs has a thin squad and a terrible away record. Chelsea is not playing consistently and they have a 2 window transfer ban coming up.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Excellent 2-0 win by Liverpool at Cardiff City, scored by Gini and Milner (penalty)

Back to the top of the leaderboard.

Liverpool goal difference +59 vs MC goal difference +65.

why not throw in a 5-0 victory for MC too to bolster their goal difference.

but i think OGS have to reply back with a solid performance against MC and a draw result would be good enough.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

The problem with MU is their dressing room has split into 2 camps with one side being Solkaer's longterm boys and the other group who will be let go by the manager. This 2nd group felt betrayed by the manager after giving their all for him when he took over in the belief that they will have a future in MU...... now demoralised at being let go so who want to fight for him? Result is disjointed MU and lousy oerformances.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

A performance that has become typical of us against those kinds of teams.

Dominate the ball and beat them into submission. We just have far too much quality for the majority of this league right now and results like this are the norm.

Comfortable win and we move forwards. Regardless of what happens, we’ve been pretty flawless this season.

This team can do no more than its doing. Incredible effort over recent months, all season in fact, to take this to the wire. Fantastic credit is due. Also hope Fabinho is OK.

I'm convinced we'll win our remaining 3 games now. Whether its enough, who knows? Its out of our hands. But either way this team can do no more.

Let's just make City win all those games and force them to win 14 games on the spin to win it. Just push them all the way. That's all we can ask.

Funnily enough, this weekend's matchday-results were perhaps not that bad for us afterall. Arsenal, Tottenham and United lose their games. What does it mean? Strictly speaking, United still has a good chance for CL next season if they can beat City on Wednesday.

Anyways perhaps Burnley will hold City? They'll certainly give them a better game than United who look like they could be taken by Notts County and Yeovil at the moment

What a great season our club is having, sun is shining top of the league, champions league semi final to look forward to isn't life great

As for Warnock who looks like Penguin from Batman You can now get back down to the Championship where you belong, Penguin!

Finally, Gary Neville shouldn't be allowed to commentate on Liverpool matches. So much bias against Liverpool. That was a CLEAR penalty, Ratboy! How anyone thinks he's a good pundit, is beyond me, sheesh

I think this is just talk cock. For a team that got thrashed by Everton 4-0, do they really think they can get a result against Man City? You mean they can draw or defeat Man City even if they tried? I don't think so. Saying they will rather throw the game away is a just face saving measure. Why will a team 3 points away from a CL place not want to win at their home ground? Especially when the other teams fighting for 4th spot are just as inconsistent? Theatre of dreams = dreaming about losing to Man City these days?

Liverpool tries their best. Regardless of how the result influences the league table. I recall in the mid-90s, Newcastle was managed by Kevin Keegan, a liverpool legend. Liverpool beat Newcastle 4-3 on 2 occasions. These 2 defeats helped Man U win the title. Liverpool never kelong even though the Liverpool - Man U rivalry is strong then.

Actually when did the Liverpool - Man U rivalry begin? In the 80s, our main rivals were Arsenal and Everton. Man U was just a mid-table team then. Something like Everton is today. The Liverpool - Man U matches were nothing extraordinary then. It is only when Alex Ferguson became the manager that Liverpool and Man U fans become bigger rivals. Alex Ferguson wanted to overtake our total titles won. Other than that, why should both sets of fans dislike one another? I support my team, you support yours. Life was simpler then.

All these talk about getting your team to throw a match away is just bullshit. Why will a true fan not want their team to win? Does it mean there are Man U fans waking up at 3 am tomorrow to watch Man U hopefully lose?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Most people are talking about this game being the title decider if City win it. A few have mentioned Leicester as possibly doing us a favour. But I’ve yet to see anyone mention Burnley. Look at what they did last to Chelsea on Monday.

Whatever happens tonight, I certainly won’t be losing all hope. Until it’s mathematically impossible I keep my excitement.

Well said bro.

In 1995, last round of matches of the season, Blackburn met us at Anfield. We knew very well that if we beat them the title could possibly end up at Old Trafford, but the boys still played their best and won. That is professionalism. We'll do our best on the pitch regardless of what's the outcome of the final score.
