Chin House is now very expensive. The whole Saladaeng stretch you have CentrePoint (cheapest international chain) and if you like those smaller ones, can try Sunrise Residence or Inn Saladaeng. both are in the smaller soi

Phong Apartment (Ratchada Soi 13)
if you guys have been following the BKK threads. about 5 years ago siamcutey scouted the whole Ratchada area for a perfect and budget hotel for cheongsters. he found Ratchada City Hotel. back then it was only 600B/Night. now it is 1000b/Night. Watana Mansion used to be 500B/Night. now 600B/Night. yesterday after a stopover flight in BKK from Tokyo. i headed to the promise land Ratchada for a reece mission after settling my boss's money and paper work at Sutthisan vicinity. knn always ask me to settle his mistress matters whenever i am in BKK. she better intro me some nice girls often.
not sure if this info. has been posted before. in the spirit of sharing allow me to introduce Phong Apartment at 480B/Night or 3000B/Month. this is not a 3 star hotel but an apartment so do not expect the sky. please take note i do not earn any commission unlike those bros like thaihotels. this apartment is just a little further down from The Resort. you can just walk back to apartment to sleep after partying in Resort. there is a 7-11 opposite Resort so you can pickup condoms, drinks, ciggies, etc. they even throw in 30min of free internet. maximum 3 persons allowed per room so you can have threesome if you fancy! nearby amenities include Huay Khwang MRT, Thalat Huay Khwang, soapy massage parlours, clubs, ktvs, pubs, shopping malls, etc. for this kind of price and location it is value for money no doubt. please give feedback about Phong Apartment for those who have stayed before. times have indeed changed. 5 years ago budget airlines were not born yet. i hope this is a new turning page for the new generation of "budget" cheongsters. budget bangers like bro Norikasan55 will find this place useful if he does another 5000B budget trip again. i hope and urge the new generation will continue to share FRs and info. on the wonderful BKK scene which is lacking these days. and not how many ONS one clocked in a trip or cannon fairy stories. hahaha. hopefully 5 years later another samster will come here and introduce another better place for cheongsters to set up HQ. thank you. Phong Apartment Room Rate: 480B/Night

Re: Phong Apartment (Ratchada Soi 13)
There's an obvious niche for cheongsters for value (aka inexpensive) short and medium stays. FRs? Awhile back, I used to garner useful intel here for both entertainment and makan places. Some bkk threads could do with more FRs, pity some relegated to tcss

Hi Mr R, This is definitely a very good piece of info. I have been staying at Watana for upteem years. So a change will be most refreshing. Sometime the staff get too familiar and I get uneasy that they noticed me bring different gals on different trips....... Just curious, how does this compared to Watana... I am into no thrills, no frills, but decently clean and comfortable accommodation. After all, we need a good place to sleep and .... Will stay there on the next trip... 88 |

To quote Bob Dylan, "The Times They are A Changing"...I agree in the past there were no budget airlines but the cheapest return airticket then was $180 & a LT with Suttisan girl was less than THB1000 (circa late 80s) & even if u factor in for inflation, LOS is still more expensive now....so hope more bros share more lobangs so we all can stretch our hard earn dollars I have a few places to share too....can search the internet for more details. Chaleena Hotel, Samran place, & for those really counting their bahts but not willing to bunk in Khaosan then my favourite below THB500 place is Narai Inn on Patunam (behind Indra Regent next to Baiyoke Sky).

Chaleena Hotel and Samran Place are quite far away from the popular cheong places unless one just wants to loiter around end of Lat Phrao or Petchburi. these 2 roads will waste your precious time due to the heavy traffic jams. how i know? because i stayed for years in apartments for both places. HELL! traffic jam on Orchard Road is peanuts!

in regards to foreigners owning properties other than condos. i do not even want to elaborate further as it has been discussed before. i know what you are thinking. see the beginning of my reply. if you are a non Thai citizen forget about buying properties other than condos as an individual. because Thai laws say you cannot do so. unless i want to retire in Thailand only then I will buy a small condo for residential purposes and lease out a room to a cute Uni gal.

Re: Register a company to buy land and build house in bangkok
Quote:
First question: Yes, you can register a thai company using virtual office service which will provide you with a mailing address for your new office & answer /dirct your incoming calls to your mobile. I think the fee is not so expesnive, somewhere around 5000 bahts /mth will do. Register a dorman company to buy lands , you still need to file your annual company tax form. The thai tax dept will question you if your company is inactive for a period of time. Although you are leasing the land for 30yrs, you can register the house under your name. At the end of the lease contract, you can ask someone to demantle the house and move eslewhere. Just give back the empty land back to the landlord. Second question: Not true. The bank will value of your property base on the 'location' and the 'size' of your land. You can spend a fortune building a beautiful castle in your gf hometown or countyside but at the end of the day , the banker /buyer will still look at location , location and still location when come to valuation of your property. |
