FLs should be stopped for obvious reasons.

MLs are okay so long as health safety measure protocols are followed. If not, the government authorities are to held responsible for not enforcing the same.

The virus is still out there. So the practical feasible strategy of containing and suppressing is the way to go. To enable this contact tracing is key.

There is no safe bet when it comes to commercial sex but with proper health safety measures protocols including a vigorous contact tracing system and the WLs and all other GL staff getting tested regularly, this would at least ensure an efficient containment and suppression regime against vany virus clusters forming from GL.

As for MW hotel, it should be closed down by the government authorities now. It is clearly a Covid-19 cluster waiting to happen, assuming one had not happened already. Think about it, do you know how their rooms are cleaned and who cleans them? What about the FLs and who they mix with? All it takes is one asymptomatic case at MW hotel to transform into a cluster and spread out to the local community.

That is why I say the MOH covid-19 task force should reopen GL now, screen and transfer the FLs to the GL houses and close down MW hotel for being a health menace to the local community.

Do you understand the damage Covid-19 has wrought to the local community? Damage as in total damage to the whole society which continues until a vaccine is found?

There is no way this government is going to "close an eye" to a clear and present health danger like MW hotel. And if it does, and a cluster breaks out(who knows might have already broken out with all those unlinked cases??), then this government will have to take responsibility.

I repeat, if the government authorities are really prepared to "close an eye" with respect to MW hotel then the right and proper way is to reopen GL now instead and close MW hotel down immediately.

Mw hotel airon is good. The shower is great. But the girls prices are increasing. Now most girls start at 120 dollars instead of the 100. Also on weekends some of the girls are very difficult to book. Sometimes call 10 times also no answer. Messages also never reply .at least Mw hotel helps decreases the rape cases in Singapore. From my source the boss of mw hotel is well connected to grass roots leaders and he pays very high tax to the government so he's well protected. The main reason why mw hotel is allowed to operate is the girls are hidden from public view. They stay in their rooms most of the time whereas to the government the legal joints are an eye sore.as one brother said our sex industry is moving to an online mode. Covid 19 change the world 😉

I know where you are coming from and in normal times I would generally agree with you.

But this global pandemic covid-19 virus is not normal times. It has totally changed the nature as to how a society governs itself, that is if it wants to survive generally in tact until a vaccine is available.

So after all the suffering, pain, damage and costs incurred thus far, I don't believe this government will chose to close one eye when it comes to clear and present health menace like MW hotel.

The FWs dorms fiasco is one fiasco too many already. Cluster from MW hotel would be worse because it spreads straight into the local community.

The only logical way forward for the government to avoid another fiasco is to reopen GL. This is the responsible way forward. It can be done discreetly, as the government has control over the mainstream media. Fact that zhaobao and Wanbao not even commenting on MW hotel tells you something?!

At the moment it looks like the government has no control over MW hotel at all. This is totally ridiculous and dangerous under the circumstances.

What you say though changes nothing unless MW hotel can guarantee no cluster coming from it. Or at the very least ensuring that any cases linked to MW hotel can be traced and contained.

From what is known, even basic health safety measure protocols are not being followed at MW hotel.

Is the government prepared to take a risk of a cluster coming from MW hotel under such circumstances?

If it is than I say more fool them and they will have to pay the price to the public for acting in such a foolish irresponsible way.

Well said.correct. the key is to look at Orchard towers.if Orchard towers is allowed to resume business as usual then geylang stand a chance. To the government Orchard towers is more important as it is a main tourist attraction and caters to the high end and expatriate crowd
