Moving forward, the vietbu will ultimately replace PRC lasses, like it or not. Just like PRC lasses replaced Malaysian lasses a decade or more ago. Ever since the border restriction between Vietnam & Sg has been lifted, vietbu flooded the commercial flesh scene like water cascading down a cliff ... I would envisage that if GL operation is ever to resume, the whores will be primarily from Vietnam.

Quite unlikely. Geylang won’t open until China, India, Malaysia and Japan are COVID secure. Expect any opening to be from June 2023 onwards. I have extended the projection from June 2022 in light of what’s happening in these large scale economies. Forget 2021 and 2022. This closure will likely go on for another 2 years with a look at downsizing Geylang and putting protocols in place for future pandemics. Time to move on.

My guess is no later than 2nd half of 2022 to see red light district reopening then.
