I'm very familiar with people who call themselves UK grads. They tend to be Malaysian S-pass holders who graduated from one of our local long-distance schools. When you ask them where did they graduate, they never tell you the uni, they will say "UK grad". Actually, they spent their life in a TMC Academy or Kaplan type classroom getting a degree ranked 2000 in the world. Essentially, it's a piece of toilet paper but maybe slightly better than a dip. This shall probably be my last post in this thread.

I recently heard from a few reliable sources that unfortunately GL shall not be reopening until Phase 3 which seems to be no earlier than sometime in 2021 unless a vaccine becomes available before then.

All remaining GL WLs should probably be going back to their home countries by October latest.

So samsters still in touch with their GL darlings here better enjoy whatever remaining time you have with them.

On 19 June (which was fucking months ago), when GL didn't open, it should be obvious that maybe it opens in Phase 3. Up to now, you still don't know? The nightclub cannot open on 19 June, owners and clubbers already know it means it can only open in Phase 3. You must go through life smack blind and only leave your house to go GL, with no knowledge of anything that goes on in the world.

We are now in Phase 2. Geylang is closed and has been closed. We can say with certainty: Geylang is closed during Phase 2. Try to let that sentence sink in.

Which means, this is really 废话, that Geylang may only open in Phase 3. Still need to ask? Unlike Escobar4444, who already confirmed from his so-called reliable source (actually he just doesn't read newspapers and heard from his Ah Pek friends) that Geylang will open in Phase 3, I am not so bullish. The government themselves do not know at this stage if they will allow GL to open in Phase 3, how can you already know?

It is entirely possible that due to the nature of GL and the lack of a vaccine, everything can open in Phase 3 except GL, till a vaccine is found. It could well be, though unlikely, that the government will only go into Phase 3 when a vaccine is found, in which case, GL can open but we are looking at end of next year. Without a vaccine, govt may be quite content to remain in Phase 2. Maybe next week, we are hit by a 2nd wave and then have to go back down the ladder again, who knows? There may also be the possibility, some new Minister may suggest, you know what, fuck this GL crap, I'm wasting too much AV resources 'licensing' these idiots and I don't even collect licensing fee or tax.
