Thread on Job Sharing (Part Time & Full Time)

Hi All,

Opening a thread hoping to see some sharing of jobs (Part or Full time). I have reached the age of PMET. Some of my Bros got retrenched and rehiring chances are limited. It does worries me especially when the company I am working in has shrunk in business. Although there is no news of restructuring, we do need to make the worst preparation.

I believe there might have some bros facing the same problems. Hope this thread could helps a bit by getting sbf members to share job info. :)

TS (and anyone in the same situation as him), have you considered retraining in a different field? Here are some links for you to explore:

https://www.ssg.gov.sg/wsq.html

The best part of this is that the government would pay for your education if you pass the interviews.

活到老,学到老. If you constantly upgrade yourself and keep a good attitude towards working hard, I believe there will always be opportunities for you.

All the best bro.

Thanks bro. Do agree that a positive attitude is crucial.

So far I have some concerns but my employers are still doing alright.

At least make sure that you have enough passive income or savings, in case things go wrong. We are heading towards an economic downturn, so you should make plans to safeguard your interests.

Should also starting mapping out your retirement if you haven't done so already. It is never too early to start planning.

While I am in HR, my industry is very niche with a fixed talent pipeline. So I'm afraid I cannot contribute to the thread's original purpose to share job opportunities.

Wish you all the best dude.

Feels the same too. I have some friends driving Grab now. One of them is a graduate from London. So far they are still doing alright. I feel having a strong positive attitude is important otherwise we will have alot of suicides. SG is a highly stressful place to be in.
